What are some ways in which a person’s identity can put them at a disadvantage in today’s world? What are some examples of these disadvantages as you see on the news or around the community?

In today's world peoples identities can change how they are perceived and or treated. For example if one identifies as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or a sexual and so on they may go somewhere and be given dirty looks or not given the same treatment as other customers just because they see life differently. In the news there was a bakery that went through a national case file because they did not want to make a wedding cake for a gay couple that then sued them.

In today’s world a person’s identity can put them at a disadvantage for example people are treated differently just for having a different skin color and don’t get the same treatment as other people do for example I saw a news article online about how African-Americans are more likely to be pulled over and are arrested at a higher rate for drug abuse.
