Using scientific knowledge and reasoning can help us in many ways to make decisions and grow in our knowledge. For example, let's take a loot at making a hypothesis. When making a hypothesis, you are creating an educated guess on what you already know. If your hypothesis is correct, then your scientific knowledge is correct and you can use that to correct and/or make your knowledge higher or better. Using scientific knowledge and reasoning helps us take a next step in gathering facts. We need to have a guess and use our reasoning before we have a final, accurate answer.
