Slope-intercept form is:
y = mx + b
"m" is the slope, "b" is the y-intercept (the y value when x = 0)
You need to find "m" and "b"
To find the slope, you use the slope formula, and plug in 2 points. I will use the points (0,3) and (1,5):
[tex]m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}[/tex]
[tex]m = \frac{5-3}{1-0}[/tex]
[tex]m=\frac{2}{1}[/tex]
m = 2
y = 2x + b
To find "b" you can plug in a point into the equation, or you can find the point when x = 0. When x = 0, the y value is 3, so the y-intercept is 3
y = 2x + 3
