The garden of the backyard consists of producers, herbivores, and some carnivores. Each organism in this garden plays its own specific role and interact with one another for food.
What do you mean by Ecosystem?
The ecosystem may be defined as the place or area where members of different species live and interact with one another for the purpose of food, shelter, space, and other required resources.
Here, producers (plants) synthesize the energy with the help of carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight, herbivores (birds, insects) captures 10% of the energy produced by producers, and the captured energy is transferred to carnivores like an eagle.
Top carnivores are very rarely found in the garden of the backyard. So, plants along with squirrels, bats, some insects, and eagles are found in the garden, they all interact in a sequential way to transfer energy.
Therefore, it is well described above.
