The seventh grade class is putting on a show to tr aise money. It cost $700 to rent hall they will use. If they charge $15 for each ticket, how many tickets do they need to sell in order to raise $1000

Now divide $1,700 by $15 and you will get 113 and 1/3 tickets. You can't sell 1.3 of a ticket, so you will round up. You need 114 tickets to be sold!
