Okay so, imagine if you were in medical school trying to become a nurse (RN). During that time at school you have to go through multiple classes and tests. And to move on to the next course you have to pass the test with a certain grade. If you don't achieve that grade you don't move on, and once you fail enough classes you can get kicked out of that program, so you wouldn't become a nurse. And so to get those high grades on tests you need to study a lot and complete all the classwork.
I thought of my mom in nursing school, so I hoped this helped. I know it's not a school class, but it's a class with grades and a career.
