The slope is the change in Y over the change in X
Using the two dots on the graph, one dot is located at (2,6) and the other dot at (-2,3)
Slope = (3 - 6) / (-2-2)
Slope = -3 / -4
Slope = 3/4
The formula of a slope:
[tex]m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]
We have the points (-2, 3) and (2, 6). Substitute:
[tex]m=\dfrac{6-3}{2-(-2)}=\dfrac{3}{4}[/tex]
