Vilnus is the capital of Lithuania - a small country in Eastern Europe, on the Baltic Sea, which used to be one of the Soviet Republics before the split-up of the Soviet Union.

Despite being Lithuanian's biggest city, it has a big Polish population and it was once in Poland, not in Lithuania - which was a reason for a conflict between the two countries.
