alright since it is a positive 6.4 your going to need to cancel it out by adding positive 6.4 from negative 6.4 so it would look like this: a + 6.4 - 6.4
then what you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other side so your going to have to subtract 6.4 from the other side so then it would look like this: a + 6.4 - 6.4 = 3.7 - 6.4
If you can solve this in your head then great if not then the answer is -2.7. when your write this down dont forget the negative
your equation should look like this: -2.7 + 6.4 = 3.7
