What is Wheatley describing in this couplet?

blood shed in war

the setting of the sun

her view of the afterlife

the advance of the British troops

Respuesta :

MAYBE It is the setting of the sun.
Wheatley describing in this couplet is death. What leads me to think this is he word “afterlife” as he describes the blood bleeding out might mean from the British troops have killed many. Basically many lives were lost in one day (as the sunset came) ....hope this helps
