During the time of WWII, Nazi Germany wanted to shut out any opposing ideas from their own.(killing Jews is bad) so to prevent their citizens for opposing the German dictators, the only allowed them to read information that supported anti semitism(hatred of jews). In turn, Germany also did a very food job of keeping their concentration camps a secret from the rest of the world(mostly their enimies) because American and British soldiers had no idea of the camps until they invaded the German homeland.
