Respuesta :

In my opinion, the first amendment is the most important constitutional amendment. It is the amendment that gives us our freedoms, in religion/belief system, speech, assembly, press, and petition. The first English colony in Jamestown Virginia (1607) was founded because the English people were trying to escape religious persecution. English is the language that most Americans use today and proves to be a unifying force to our country. Thus, the original reason of the English for setting up colonies here can be argued to be freedom, which the 1st amendment was made to protect.

In my opinion, the most important amendment is the First Amendment. It protects people's right of speech, religion and assembly. The founding fathers considered it important as it was passed right after the Constitution. They put it as the first among the ten amendments which was the Bill of Rights. Protection of those rights were more important as that was the reason many left England to come to the New World. To this day, those rights are ever more important for people to speak up against anything the government is doing wrong now.
