Geoffrey Chaucer (1343-1400) is best known as a writer, The tales of Canterbury being his most famous work. But he had several other jobs in his life, like a page, valet de chambre, or comptroller of the port of London. What we can made about Chaucer based upon on his many job titles is that he is a very intelligent person and knows a lot about the government.
