Our ancestors, played every role in the 17th Century Witch Trials: Accused, Accuser, Witness, Neighbor, Jury and the Law.  Seeing all their stories together, shows that the witch trials weren’t an isolated incident.  Since all the players were family, the message I get is that everyone in their society was responsible for what happened.

The Witnesses played a major role in the Salem Witch Trials.

First, because they were the main evidence people had against the accused. There were many rivalries between the families in the city and because of that Witness were responsible for pointing out many attitudes that people had that were “suspect” of witchcraft.

The witnesses also used spectral evidence, that was pieces of evidence from dreams and visions.
