The factors that contributed to the increasing cultural conservatism in the Islamic states during the seventh century was that they didn't choose to innovate and discover new ideas. The Islamic empire was too afraid that new ideas would make things unstable in terms of politics and they did not innovate and develop their nation unlike the western side of the world during that time.
The future implications were their military and economic decline. They didn’t go for outward goals but was only focused on their nation’s status. The empires didn’t allow merchants to be encouraged by the new industry and got contented with what they had in their own society.
