When we read moral certainty we know is something society creates using our knowledge of what is right and what is wrong, using moral is how we as a society regulate our rules on what can be and cannot be done.
Using this idea Edelman talked about the primary consciousness and the higher order consciousness, the first one is what we have when we are born, and the second is created from experiences and social interaction. Using both types of consiousmess and what moral certainty is, human can decide wheter he harms or kill a person just by deciding to do it or not.
