The waterfall of the Colorado river, which borders the Kaibab Plateau, encompasses parts of seven US and two Mexican states. They are a vital source of water for 40 million people and are used for hydroeletric power. It encompasses 246.000 square miles of southwestern North America, the seventh on the continent. The Kaibab Plateau reaches an elevation of 9.200 feet above sea level and it has the Great Canyon as one of its borders.
