5 Moles of Carbon Atoms
As we know one molecule of Methane is made up of one atom of Carbon and four atoms of Hydrogen. Also, we can say that one mole of CH₄ contains one mole of Carbon atoms and four moles of hydrogen atoms. Therefore, as,
1 mole of CH₄ contains = 1 mole of Carbon Atoms
Then,
5 moles of CH₄ will contain = X moles of Carbon Atoms
Solving for X,
X = (5 moles × 1 mole) ÷ 1 mole
X = 5 Moles of Carbon Atoms
