This makes it easier because multiplying by 1 is easier then by a number with decimals

For example: 43 + 81 + 57 + 19 looks a bit complicated at first glance but when you use the commutative property and switch places of numbers, like this: 43 + 57 + 81 + 19 will make it less complicated.

This is because it is easier to add 43 + 57 alone and 81 + 19 alone

43 + 57 + 81 + 19 = 200
