If the gym is not performing as expected it could be because of the high competition occurring. The gym equipment and training may not be up-to standard. Maybe the service their offering is poorer compared to another gym.
Gearup established a new chain of gyms, named GearOn, that offers nutritional counselling and personal training with the facility of the gym. But this line of service is not performing as expected. So if I will be asked to find out the reasons behind this, I will start with conducting the surveys from the clients of the gym, asking them about why they like or don't like in the gym, or what they think would or would not have to be included in it.
After collecting the data, I will do the detailed analysis of the factors that are affecting the performance of the new gym who has a lot more facilities as compared to other gyms.
If necessary, I would conduct a wide range of survey with the member of other gyms. This will help me more in understanding the areas that are lacking in something.
