Step 1:

           First of all the parent chain was identified. As the name ends with -hexadiene, it means the parent chain contains 6 carbon atoms along with two double bonds.

Step 2:

           Secondly, the position of double bonds was spotted. As the parent name was followed by 2,4- it means the double bonds are present at position 2 and 4.

           After that, the positions of substiyuents was measured. As specified in name methyl is present at position 3 and chlorine atom is present at position 1.
