The energy stored in the glucose can be converted into ATP ( adenosine tri phosphate ) .Cellular respiration is the process in which the glucose in presence of oxygen is broken down into carbon dioxide and water and the energy is stored in the form of ATP. It is the molecule that provides energy for your cells to perform work, such as moving your muscles as you walk down the street.When ATP is broken down into ADP ( adenosine di phosphate) and inorganic phosphate the energy is released.
