heroism is the act of putting one's self at risk to help and give some one else who has a bad outcome have a better one while also being in danger yourself for instance a woman is getting mugged in a dark alley with four guys with guns and has her child near her you step in and flee them away because up close it wasn't loaded so you save the child and the woman but the act of risking your life is a heroic act mainly because you didn't know if the gun is loaded or real but you still decided to help
