your answer would be 1 3/8. that’s because 8 goes into 11 one time so that gives you your whole number. then for your fraction you would do 11-8 and that is your numerator. then you always keep your denominator so it would be 8. then put it all together and it equals 1 3/8.
we can always find the mixed fraction of any improper fraction by simply dividing the numerator by the denominator, the quotient goes up front, and the remainder is the new numerator.
11 ÷ 8, has a quotient of 1, and a remainder of 3, therefore
