In the excerpt from "The Declaration of Sentiments," Stanton claims that men should take a different attitude or stance than they have done until then. Besides, she also mentions that new stand is granted by God and the laws of nature. As a result, in the following paragraph she provides evidence to support her appeal. For example, she makes reference to men and women's equally rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and she also suggests that a new government should secure those rights.
