As you may know, the Magna Carta was the first document of its kind in which the central power organized with the people. This relationship is demostrated in our democracy, as we the people have a influence in our government. Even though it gave rights to only free white land owners, it was a start in the right direction. Even more so, such influence can be found in the US Constituion, some of those rights reflecting into this historic document, such as the right of gaining a warrant for a search or protection from unlawful arrests.
