If dead man´s pocket had been written in the 21st century, some contents would have been different.
For example, he wouldn´t use a typewriter to do his job. Instead, he would use a notebook, a 21st-century technological device that would have changed the whole plot of the story, because there wouldn´t be written papers so he wouldn't have to run to catch them.
Besides, he would have his job saved on the cloud or maybe a pen so he wouldn´t take the risk of losing all his work.
