When 2 grams of hydrogen (h2) react with 32 grams of oxygen (O2) the reaction yields hydrogen peroxide (h2o2) how many grams of ho202 are produced in this reaction

Respuesta :

as per the reaction we have

[tex]H_2 + O_2 ---> H_2O_2[/tex]

so here 1 mole of H2 react with 1 mole of O2 and give 1 mole of H2O2 as the product

now we will find the moles of given reactant

moles of H2

[tex]n_1 = \frac{2}{2} = 1 mole[/tex]

moles of O2

[tex]n_2 = \frac{32}{32} = 1 mole[/tex]

so here both present in 1 mole each hence the product will also formed 1 mole

so here we have

[tex]n = 1 mole[/tex] H2O2 will form

so mass of the product

mass = moles* molecular mass

[tex]m = 1 * (2 + 32)[/tex]

[tex]m = 34 g[/tex]

so the product mass will be 34 g
