Hey there!!
Point to note : It is mentioned that all the sides are equal and there are two figures which are identical.
Which means that there are two squares which have equal lengths.
How do we find the perimeter of a square ?
There are 4 sides for a square and the perimeter is to add up all the sides. Hence, the perimeter of a square = 4 × side.
As there are 2 squares with equal measures, the total perimeter would become = 2 ( 4s ) = 8s
The total perimeter = 80 cm
If we get this into an equation :
8s = 80
divide by 8 on both sides
s = 10
Hence, the side of each square is 10 cm. The length of one side = 10 cm
Hope my answer helps!
