Hello there!
As the previous user stated, simply add the top two numbers (numerators) together; then add the bottom two (denominators) together.
This will give you 20/24.
Then you want to reduce this fraction as much as possible! How do you do that?
Well, 20 and 24 are both even numbers, right? So it means they can both be divided by 2! But wait!
If a number can be divided by 2, see if it can be divided by 4! (To reduce the work).
Can 20 and 24 BOTH be divided by 4? Yes!
So 20 becomes 5 (20/4=5).
24 becomes 6 (20/4=6).
So now you have 5/6!
Can 5 or 6 both be divided by any number(S) except themselves or 1? Nope!
So 5/6 is your final answer! :)
(I'm not trying to steal credits from the previous user, I simply wanted to add some explanations so it's easier to understand).
Hope that helped!!
