How you would convert the repeating, nonterminating decimal to a fraction? Please EXPLAIN the process as you solve the problem, 0.1515...

So its going to equal a fraction.

To convert let x equal the repeating decimal (0.1515... it would usually have a line on top of it but I cant type it)

Then examine the number see what place it is in then add another place (in this case it is in the 10000ths place) so multiply it but 10000x

so it would look like: 10000x = 0.1515

then you will move the decimal in to a whole numbers place (0.1515 to 1515.1515

then subtract the decimal 1515.1515- .1515= 1515.

dont forget to subtract from both sides so subtract the 10000x too. (999.515)

then write as fraction form 1515/9999
