I need help writing my essay (I'm not asking you to write my essay, just a question to help me write it myself)

How does the figurative language in "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night" help set the mood of the poem?

Figurative language-
“…who see with blinding sight” irony
“Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay” simile
“be there on the sad height” personification
“Old age should burn and rage at close of day” irony
“…caught and sang the sun in flight” metaphor

The figurative language in the poem help set a dark and stormy mood, and seems to represent the cycle of death. The term "Old age should burn and rage at close of day" supports that. The exciting terms " Old age should burn and rage at close of day may represent those fighting to stay alive and not be forgotten. This is the best I could figure out from the poem. Hope this helps! Comment if you think answer is dumb lols.
