DNA is the genetic material present in nucleus of eukaryotic organisms and in nucleoid of prokaryotes. DNA stores the information about all the activities of the cells. A stretch of the DNA that code for a specific genetic trait is called as gene. Assemblage of specific cell types into a tissue and specific tissue types into organ is under regulation of DNA only.
