A twelve-hour clock is set at the correct time on the afternoon of May 17th. If the clock loses 6 minutes per day, what is the next calendar day on which it will show the correct time?

to figure this out, we want to keep adding a day until the clock loses a total of 12 hours

first to figure out how much time it takes to for the clock to lose an hour
[tex]60 \div 6 = 10[/tex]
so it takes 10 days to lose and hour
now to see how long it take to lose 12 hours
[tex]10 \mult 12 = 120[/tex]
so 120 days from May 17th
