It's important to never ignore the risks and to weigh them against its benefits because it can help a man determine what is the right, the best, the most humane, etc, thing to do. A popular example would be the dropping of the bombs that ended WWII. The risks and benefits had to be weighed to figure out what he thought the best thing to do should be. In its benefits, he ended the war and saved many american and japanese troops, but with the risks came many deaths of innocents. And as most know its still an ongoing debate on whether it was right or wrong. Sometimes it can be hard but its still important to weigh the risks against its benefits.
The actions which we perform always results in an outcome either positive or negative. Before performing any action it is essential to understand its pros and cons as well as the causes and effects of the same.
It is of prime importance to evaluate or foresee the risks involved in performing any action. It should be checked whether the benefits are occurring bearing risks.
Evaluation of risk
- Check whether the benefits arising due to any action are arising after taking risks.
- Check whether benefits are worthy for taking risks.
- If risk is greater than the proportion of benefits, avoid the performance of such actions.
Therefore we can say that it is important to evaluate the risk factor before performing any action for the purpose of receiving benefits.
