People can adapt very quickly, it's not that hard of a process.
In almost every biome there is shelter, food, and water. The basic needs to survive.
They can make shelter using wood, sticks, even leaves.
They can use wood to make spears to hunt and kill animals for food.
They use the wood to start a fire to cook there food.
People that are is a deserted biome normaly leave there area searching for water, they are water deprived for a while but they can eat leaves, berries for water.
