Social capital refers to the networks that connected one members of society with another. People with large social capital tend to have more people that they are in good terms compared to people who don't. Because of this, they tend to obtain more opportunities in both relationship and their careers, and increase their chance of achieving satisfactory life.
Sam built strong and good relationships with family and the military, which created a stake in conformity. Positive relations that support conventional behavior and inhibit deviant behavior are called social capitals.
