Answer and Explanation

Direct democracy is a form of  democracy where people or members of the public in a nation or a state where people vote for their representatives who then enact policy initiatives. The geographical division of power in direct democracy provides mutual checks and balances. This  is where the system of governance ensures that  no any branch of government  that is the Judiciary, the executive and the legislature  has more power than the other. This means that all the three branches of the government have got equal powers. This is done by that each branch of the government has mandate to limit the powers of the other thus preventing any branch to become too powerful. The main advantage of having this type of power sharing is because it maintains equality in the government.
