The Mayan civilization can be compared to those Eurasian cultures specifically in terms of sophistication. For example, Rome could succesfully create a structured government system, as well as advances in warfare, politics and law. Mayans had a strong political and religious system, they successfully changed the landscape building temples and cities as Romans did.
Finally, both cultures had a well developed art, sophisticated understanding of geography, astronomy and sciences such as medicine, mathematics among many others.
