There are four potential effects on the seafood industry: 1. Alteration of chronology and reduction of productivity in all marine systems. 2. Vulnerability of fishermen communities and coastal infrastructures to storms and changes in sea level. 3. The increased risks associated with fishing and seafood make fishing a means of subsistence less viable for the traditional fishermen communities. 4. Reduction of profitability of fishing and seafood companies and increase of insurance premiums.
