Good because more people have access to social media and you are able to reach more people with your message. Look at how crazy social media is going about Justin Bieber singing a Christian song at one of his concerts or how Chris Pratt used his time on the stage at the MTV awards to share the gospel. Various artists who are gospel singers and preachers use social media to share their message. Churches across the world use social media to reach more people. Our church broadcasts live every Sunday to people from across the world reaching more people that they would not have reached 10–15 years ago.
The bad, social media can distract you. Social media can be misleading. There isn’t just one group of people with a specific religion that has access to social media all religions have access and all of them can use the platform to share their message. So if you are a Christian for example and come across information about another religion it could sway you to move to that religion. Besides that I think it definitely distracts people as well, instead of praying or reading Bible and spending time with God people tend to rather be on social media and it completely distracts.
