In 1945, the Campaign of Iwo Jima was an historic armed operations among United States Marines and the Military of Japan. Positioned 750 miles off the shoreline of Japan, the archipelago of Iwo Jima had three air-fields under the assistance of Japanese. American armies attacked the island on 19th February 1945 and the Battle of Iwo Jima persisted for five weeks.
