The Wobblies is the informal name for the Industrial Workers of the World or IWW formed in Chicago in 1905.
The Wobblies were created because the AFL refused to allow unskilled labor in the union. The AFL also supported a capitalistic system whereas the Wobblies supported socialism as a better option for workers. The group over time became radical and lead many riots and rebellions some of them becoming violent.
