chris gave nia 1/2 of his mini snickers bars. nia ate 1/2 of them and then gave the rest of her bars to miles. miles kept 8 and gave the last 10 bars to kayla. how many snickers bar did chris start with? how many snickers bars did nia eat?

 Alright so for this question, we gotta work backwards. What this means is that we have to start with Kayla and work it back to Chris. Here are the steps.

1) Kayla has 10 bars. Miles had 8.  10+8=18.

2) Since Nia ate 1/2 of those bars she had, we multiply 18 and 2. Because Nia gave Miles half of what she had, and Miles gave some to Kayla. 18 x 2 =36.

3) Work the same way as step 2. We multiply 36 by 2. You will get 72. And the answer is 72.
