The changes or adaptation which suits best in the environment and help the organism to live successfully, that type of adaptation passed from organism to their offspring.

Behavioral adaptations is the change of an organism which affect the behavior. Changes in feeding habits, migration pattern, hibernation, strategy of reproduction are some examples.
Another type of adaptation called physiological adaptations which are observed occasionally.
Hence, the positive changes due to mutation, which help the organism to survive and reproduce successfully, that adaptation helps the organism pass the character to next generation.
