ANSWER: The author points out the lack of changes in boys because she believes in equality. She believes that if the condition of girls are improving then the conditions should also improve for boys. She wanted to highlight the plight of boys and showed in her writing that in today's world, no gender should get privilege based on it. It should be same for both and this will teach every children to treat everyone equally.
