If you are talking about the process of producing energy than the answer is that atp is made from organelles which both animal and plant cells posses and a similar organelle that helps with protein production is the ribosomes and the endoplasmic reticulum and both end with atp aka energy which is distributed throughout the cell by the Golgi apparatus.
