Find the two points of segments AB that divide the segment into three congruent parts. Point A has coordinates (0,0) and point B has coordinates (9,6). Explain your method.

Respuesta :

we are given two points as

Point A has coordinates (0,0) and point B has coordinates (9,6)

We can divide it between A and B as C and D

Firstly, we can find point-C

point-C:

[tex] x=\frac{0+9}{3} [/tex]

[tex] x=3 [/tex]

[tex] y=\frac{0+6}{3} [/tex]

[tex] y=2 [/tex]

so, we get point C as

[tex] (x,y)=(3,2) [/tex]

so, point-C is (3,2)

point-D:

we know that it starts from (0,0) goes to (3,2)

and it is divided into three equal parts

so, in our next x-value , we will add +3 and +2 in y-value

D=(3+3 , 2+2)

D=(6,4)

we can draw line as
