The Book of Songs or known by the names such as Classic of Poetry or Book of Odes is Chinese poetry’s oldest existing book that is composed of 305 works between the 11th to 7th centuries BC. It has also been said that the folk poems have been picked up from fields and alleys of China, and these poems functioned as diplomacy, satire, and moral instruction.
