To isolate the variable means to have it by itself on one side of the equation, where the variable equals an expression.
To isolate [tex] h [/tex], we will need to remove the variables and other terms "connected" to the [tex] h [/tex] variable:
[tex] V = \dfrac{\pi}{3}r^2h [/tex]
[tex] \dfrac{V}{r^2} = \dfrac{\pi}{3}h [/tex]
[tex] \boxed{\dfrac{3V}{r^2\pi} = h} [/tex]
By dividing terms "connected" to our [tex] h [/tex] variable, we have isolated it one side of the equation.
